What are the Preferred Learning Methods?

It has been our mission as a technical training organization to understand the most effective quality training methods. In December 2024, we surveyed our customers about their preferred learning formats. Here’s what we discovered:

  • Virtual instructor-led training with participants from other companies was the top choice at 29.6% of respondents, highlighting the value of collaborative learning in a convenient online format.
  • Self-paced online training with time limits followed closely at 28.2%, demonstrating strong interest in flexible learning options that allow professionals to manage their own schedules. This format is particularly beneficial for those who need to balance training with other professional and personal commitments, offering the freedom to learn at their own pace.
  • On-site instructor-led training exclusively for your company team showed significant demand at 27.6%, reflecting the continued importance of customized, company-specific learning experiences. This approach ensures that the training content is directly relevant to the company’s unique challenges and goals, providing a more targeted learning experience.
  • Public in-person training with participants from other companies garnered 14.6%, indicating that while some professionals still value face-to-face instruction, the majority prefer more flexible options. In-person training offers the advantage of direct interaction with instructors and peers, which can enhance understanding and retention of the material.

These results demonstrate that quality professionals appreciate a variety of training methods, with a clear preference for options that offer either virtual connectivity or schedule flexibility.

These insights are invaluable as we continue to evolve our quality training methods and offerings. This diversity in preferences underscores the need for a multifaceted approach to training that can cater to different learning styles and professional needs.
