Target Audience
Those who have applied for the ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) exam or any industry professional looking to expand their knowledge in quality.
Course Objectives
This course is designed to prepare students for the Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) exam offered through the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Completing this review course does not guarantee passing the CSSGB exam, but it provides a broad review of the exam topics and greatly increases the probability of success. Exam applications must be obtained directly from ASQ and completed by the ASQ application deadlines. Application process and associated costs are not included in this program. The goal is to help organizations successfully implement Six Sigma. This Green Belt training is a means to that end, providing skills and knowledge beyond just preparing for certification. Green Belts play two key roles – as expert assistants to Black Belts, and as local Six Sigma resources within the organization. Unlike Black Belts, Green Belts work on Six Sigma projects part-time.

Materials
Since this is a review course, students are expected to obtain their own study materials and review them prior to the course. We recommend that students use current ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) reference materials and other ASQ-recommended resources when preparing for the examination.
Students who already own legacy Quality Council of Indiana (QCI) materials, such as the CSSGB Primer, Solutions Text, or practice exams, may continue to find those resources useful as supplemental study aids. However, because the ASQ Body of Knowledge and examination content may change over time, students should ensure they are familiar with the current ASQ requirements and references.
To maximize the effectiveness of the review sessions and improve exam readiness, students are encouraged to begin studying their selected reference materials prior to the start of the course.
