Course Summary
These LIVE, virtual, instructor-led classes will include short-term access to a recording of each session, so the registrants may review or make up missed sessions.
Introduction to the PPAP process within an APQP system, its planning, strategy and benefits. Learn the structure and its correlation to the rest of the AIAG core tools as well as ISO/IATF 16949.
Target Audience
Anyone involved with PPAP submissions, including those in quality, engineering, and those involved in the testing or measurement of PPAP sample parts.
Prerequisites
It is desirable but not absolutely necessary that participants should have some degree of knowledge of FMEA, SPC, MSA with Gage R&R, and/or APQP.
Course Objectives
Participants will become familiar with the work required before an actual PPAP can be performed – the process of developing and submitting a Part Submission Warrant (PSW), the forms that must be used, and the PPAP requirements of the major auto, truck and tire manufacturers. Become more adept at resolution of new problems because of the rigorously-documented product history, track quality enhancements over product lifecycles, and improve relations with suppliers and customers.
