In-Person Training
In-Person Training consists of public classes conducted by one of our subject matter experts at one of our designated locations in one or more consecutive days.
Target Audience
Quality personnel preparing for the ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) exam and or want to further their professional development; any Quality Auditors, Engineers, and Managers interested in a refresher course.
Course Objectives
This review course is designed to prepare each student for the CQT exam. The examination is offered by the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Completion of this review program through QC Training Services, Inc. will not guarantee that you will pass the exam but will offer a broad review on the Body of Knowledge and greatly increase your probability of success in obtaining your certification.
The CQT Exam application is not available through QC Training Services, Inc., and the associated costs of the application process are not included in this program. Exam applications are obtained through ASQ and must be completed and approved on or before the ASQ application deadlines.
We will be referencing the Quality Council of Indiana CQT Primer as we teach this review course. In order to have the highest likelihood of success on your exam, we encourage the students to obtain their study materials as soon as possible in order to have plenty of time to study prior to the class date.

Materials
Since this is a review course, students are expected to obtain their own materials and study as much as possible prior to the review date. We will be referencing the Quality Council of Indiana CQT Primer, Solutions Text and Exam USB as we teach this review course. If you would like to purchase materials consistent with the material being presented in the review course, they are available through Quality Council of Indiana.
The student is encouraged to bring a calculator with trig functions to class. The instructor will use the TI30Xa, so that would be preferred. Keep in mind that ASQ exam administrators will not allow smart phones during the exam.

The student will receive a username and password to access the online course that contains all the PowerPoint lectures, special links to additional reference and study materials, and full email support from the author. Students must purchase the Indiana Quality Council CQT Primer to use in conjunction with the online course. The student will supply the calculator. This is completely self-paced per the student’s schedule. Student progress will be monitored by the course administrator (instructor) on a random basis for the online option to assess student progress and provide support. An estimated time to view slides, listen to lectures, read prescribed materials in the QCI (Quality Council of Indiana) primer, and complete QCI primer blue sheet questions is 30 hours. An additional 30- hours of study including instructor support of the course materials is recommended to become prepared to take the CQT exam. Total time is dependent on the student’s background in the topics and familiarity with the Body of Knowledge. It is also recommended that the student purchase and spend time on the QCI electronic practice exams on CDROM for maximum benefit. Exam applications for CQT are obtained through ASQ and must be completed and approved on or before the ASQ application deadlines.
