In-Person Training consists of public classes conducted by one of our subject matter experts at one of our designated locations in one or more consecutive days.

Course Objectives
This basic print reading program explains the importance of engineering drawings in manufacturing and thoroughly describes the generation and duplication of such drawings. It discusses the basic elements of a blueprint and introduces the concepts which students must master to successfully interpret engineering drawings. No prior knowledge of drafting or drawing is assumed. This blueprint reading training covers the principles of shop sketching, basic review of shop mathematics, and use of common measuring tools.

Target Audience
This course in designed for production and inspection personnel, supervisors, group leaders, estimators, purchasing personnel, and set-up personnel or anyone who would like to read engineering drawings.
Course Summary
This course provides the quality inspector, quality technician, machinist, parts fabricator, assembly personnel, and other quality personnel with the fundamentals of print reading. The emphasis is on mechanical parts with brief examples of blueprints used in other industries. An elementary introduction to Geometric and Dimensional Tolerancing (GD&T) is presented and is recommended as a prerequisite to our more advanced GD&T courses. The topics covered in the outline are presented with an audio/visual presentation followed by a quiz on each section.

Materials
The reference book offered with this course is Print Reading for Industry, 12th Ed., by Walter C. and Ryan Brown. A set of prints is included with the book. The book is not necessary for successful course completion but is an excellent source of reference during the course and going forward.
