Quality and manufacturing teams are subject to significant stress and anxiety as a result of their fast-paced environment and requirements of their business-critical functions. Assisting team members to deal with this stress through supplying helpful tools results in better decision-making, fewer conflicts, and improved team performance.
One such tool is Mental Fitness. In general, being ‘mentally fit’ is defined as your capacity to deal with life’s challenges in a positive way versus in a negative way. In this Mental Fitness workshop you will learn to identify and measure the strength of your positive mental muscles (Sage) versus your negative mental muscles (Saboteurs).
This introductory workshop will help team members learn how to reduce anxiety and improve their effectiveness and performance. The philosophy is based on the NY Times bestseller book, “Positive Intelligence” by Shirzad Chamine, which includes many years of research at Stanford University with over 500,000 participants.

Prior to his coaching and consulting career, Nirav had 25 years of experience in the medical device industry, including 23 years at Medtronic. He was in various leadership and technical roles including general management, marketing, program management, systems engineering, and research. He most recently served as Sr. Director of Global Marketing and General Manager at Smiths Medical. Nirav has a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering, 10 patents, and 11 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Due to the breadth of his experiences during his career, Nirav has coached and mentored hundreds of individuals from a variety of functions – from factory floor to the C suite.
Nirav has volunteered as a Meditation Instructor for over 10 years. This is a virtual 4-hour course delivered via Zoom.
It is split into two 2-hour sessions over 1 week.
